This Sector is looking for another talented professional to complement their team, in the form of a Lead Design Engineer (Municipal Engineering - Roads, stormwater, water and sanitation).We welcome your application if you believe you meet the requirements for this position.The below-listed responsibilities and requirements will be assessed during the interview stages and will further be confirmed with the relevant professional references that you currently are or have reported to in your previous two positions.Core PurposeThe Design Engineer (Municipal) will be responsible for the design and coordination of the civil infrastructure design on medium sized Municipal Engineering projects.Key Performance AreasThe successful candidate will be responsible for/should possess the following:

• Design and Coordination of Civil Infrastructure Design
• Design of roads, stormwater, water and sanitation for townships, commercial and industrial developments.
• Adherence to Quality Management System
• Keep abreast of Technical best practice
• Prepare and Review Technical Reports
• Investigate and make recommendations on alternate solutions to engineering problems
• Conduct design reviews
• Successfully train and mentor junior engineers
• Recognised Specialist in discipline

Job RequirementsQualifications:

• BSc/BEng/BTech - Civil Engineering
• PREng/PRTech will be advantageous

Experience:

• 10 years experience in Civil Infrastructure Design for Townships
• Knowledge of Infrastructure Funding
• Competent at preparing Tender Documentation
• Competent at Construction Administration
