Opportunity for a Design Engineer to join the Joinery department of a reputable Manufacturing company.World class manufacturing company based in Cape Town is seeking an Engineer to join their joinery department. You will execute engineering and drafting tasks to produce technical documentation, including manufacturing, assembly, and quality control drawings, checklists, and standard operating procedures. Responsibilities include investigating innovative techniques, planning projects, estimating costs, scheduling resources, mitigating risks, and enhancing shop floor productivity. You will design new drawings, manage Engineering Change Requests, and communicate design rollouts across departments to optimize safety, quality, and efficiency in production. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring timely, cost-effective, project delivery. Excellence in technical expertise and proactive collaboration drives operational success.Requirements:
National Diploma in Engineering
3 Years of experience within a manufacturing environment
Experience in a woodworking environment would be advantageous
