Job Description
RPO Recruitment's client is looking for a Designer to join their team in Ottery, Cape Town. The ideal candidate should have experience in mould design within a Toolroom environment and possess strong expertise in blow moulding and injection moulding design.Responsibilities:
- Design and develop moulds for rigid plastic product manufacturing.
- Manage complete projects from concept to industrialization.
- Design components as per briefs and advise on material choice and functionality.
- Manage mould trials and provide all relevant information to trial staff.
- Participate in sourcing mould components.
- Collaborate closely with toolmakers during all phases of mould manufacturing.
- Maintain and update the mould/drawing database.
- Troubleshoot component and mould issues.
- Manage various technical projects related to toolroom and production improvements.
- Initiate or participate in projects.
- Experience in mould design within a Toolroom environment.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks.
- Strong understanding of both blow moulding and injection moulding processes.
