Our client in the Leisure, Travel & Tourism industry is currently looking for a Destination Management Retail Travel Specialist, in Sandton, Johannesburg.Responsibilities:

• Designing Tailor-Made Itineraries: Creating customized travel itineraries based on client's preferences, budget, and interests.
• Managing Reservations and Bookings: Handling all aspects of the booking process, including flights, accommodations, transportation, tours, and activities.
• Client Consultation and Support: Providing expert advice and information about destinations, travel requirements, and local cultures.
• Sales and Marketing: Promoting DMC products and services, developing marketing materials, and attending trade shows.
• Vendor and Supplier Relationships: Building strong relationships with local suppliers, negotiating contracts, and updating knowledge of the local market.
• Financial Management: Preparing quotes, invoices, and travel documents, monitoring budgetary constraints, and handling payments, refunds, and reconciliations.
• Staying Informed on Travel Trends and Regulations: Keeping up to date with industry trends, destination information, and travel regulations.

• A minimum of 3 xe2x80x93 5 years of Destination Management tour consulting experience is required.
• Extensive knowledge of various destinations, including cultural, geographical, and logistical aspects.
• Tour plan advantageous.
• ESS is essential.
• WETU.
• Understanding of MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Good understanding of South, Southern, and East Africa.

• R25 000 xe2x80x93 R40 000 per month.
