For BASF the EMEA region is our most important market.RESPONSIBILITIESThe successful incumbent will be responsible for the management of allocated development projects in such a manner as to achieve the necessary statistical data to effect ethical product registrations in the shortest possible time. Duties will include the following:Construction of trial protocols in accordance with Good Agricultural Practice and BASF guidelines in ARMAllocating and Contracting external researchers/institutions to conduct the required trials in accordance with the relevant protocols and in the required bioclimatic regionsEnsure that trials are conducted in accordance with protocol requirements and good experimental practiceReview trial data submitted by contracted researchers to ensure the quality and integrity thereofVerification and approval of invoices from contracted researchers prior to submission for payment and submission of ARM trial data into the BASF SPEAD databaseQuerying of the SPEAD database to extract statistical analyses of trials and projects for report compilationsConstruction of trial result & project progress presentations for technical meetings with colleaguesCompilation of Project Executive Summaries for insertion into Registration DossierCompile presentations for training purposes on completed projectsAdvise and mentor colleagues on technical aspectsManage the allocated Project and Trial programs according to Key TasksMaintenance of a trial management databaseQUALIFICATIONSMinimum BSc. in Agriculture or 10 years of relevant agricultural research experienceMinimum 5 years experience in crops grown in the Cape region3 years of commercial agricultural experience, working with farmersA working knowledge of ARM and SPEAD databases would be an advantageA high level of competence in MS OfficeAt BASF, the chemistry is right.Because we are counting on innovative solutions, on sustainable actions, and on connected thinking.
