Our client in Pretoria is recruiting for DevOps Operations Specialist (Advanced) to join their team.
Description
Operational support for IT reliability planning with a focus on:
Supporting IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM), Availability Management (AM) and Technical Lifecycle Management (TLM) feature teams by:
Maintaining Confluence pages.
Maintaining process templates.
IT Process Maintenance/Communication/Optimization/Improvement in IT Service Management (ITIL) with focus on ITSCM, AM, Service Lifecycle Management.
Review and reporting of the status of mandatory artifacts and activities.
Maintenance of customer base data.
Monitoring and reporting of IT-SCM, AM and TLM topics within the clients Group.
Engage with stakeholders of ITSCM, AM, TLM Crisis Management and Emergency Management when required.
Engaging with our clients Dev/Ops Teams (Infrastructure and Applications) in support of ITSCM, AM and TLM.
Interfacing with other experts regarding IT-SCM, AM and TLM topics in support of the relevant reliability planning feature team.
Attending of all Agile ceremonies and actively taking part in the ceremonies.
Adherence to the ZA IT HUB rules, policy and regulations.
Minimum Requirements
Essential Skills Requirements:
IT Experience (4-6 Years).
Higher qualification in computer sciences or equivalent qualification.
ITIL qualification or experience.
IT Support experience.
Network experience.
Agile Methodology.
IT Process improvement methods as well as risk related control frameworks and practices will be an advantage. (COCO, COSO, CMM, COBIT, etc.)
Higher qualification in computer sciences or Higher qualification in information systems.
IT Operations Experience (on-Prem or Cloud).
Conceptual knowledge of IT Infrastructure and Application hosting environments.
Working across multiple IT teams.
Advantageous Skills Requirements:
Fluent in English - including Business reading and writing.
Agile and DevOps Understanding.
IT Infrastructure technologies: Data Centres, Networks, Servers, Storage, Platform, Middleware.
Cloud Technologies: AWS, Azure, etc.
ITSM (IT Service Management).
IT Operations Frameworks.
ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library).
Disaster Recovery Management.
IT Infrastructure Operations.
IT Process Steering.
IT Process Governance.
IT-SCM (Service Continuity Management).
Technical Life Cycle Management (TLM) understanding.
Service Now (SNOW) understanding.
Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills with ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and written) with both technical and non-technical colleagues / users.
Should be willing to deal with (talk to) our customers. In most cases they will be foreign customers and language barriers might exist.
Ability to work as part of a team, inter dependant as well as independently and submit deliverables on time and in excellent quality. SELF STARTER.
Above board work ethics - this is of utmost importance.
Flexibility to take up different tasks in the project.
Willing and able to travel extensively, for up to 2 weeks at a time (international).
