Reference No. 417 08 RR:Our client, a leading mining company based in the Middleburg/Witbank area of Mpumalanga, is seeking a qualified Diesel Mechanic for a permanent opportunity. The ideal candidate will be a Trade Tested Diesel Mechanic with a minimum of 5 years post-trade experience, specifically within the mining sector. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing opencast yellow fleet machinery.Responsibilities:
- Conducting inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on Bell, Volvo, Terex, CAT, and Hitachi opencast mining equipment.
- Troubleshooting mechanical issues and ensuring all equipment operates at optimal performance.
- Performing preventive maintenance and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Keeping detailed records of repairs, maintenance, and service reports.
- Collaborating with the maintenance team to ensure the availability and efficiency of equipment.
- Maintaining a high standard of work and adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Minimum of 5 years post-trade experience working on yellow fleet machinery within the mining industry.
- Trade Tested Diesel Mechanic (essential).
- Hands-on experience with Bell, Volvo, Terex, CAT, and Hitachi equipment.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Based in the Emalahleni area or willing to relocate.
- Knowledge of health and safety protocols related to mining operations.
