:Our client, a leading mining company based in the Middleburg/Witbank area of Mpumalanga, is seeking a qualified Diesel Mechanic for a permanent opportunity. The ideal candidate will be a Trade Tested Diesel Mechanic with a minimum of 5 years post-trade experience, specifically within the mining sector. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing opencast yellow fleet machinery.Responsibilities:Conducting inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on Bell, Volvo, Terex, CAT, and Hitachi opencast mining equipment.
Troubleshooting mechanical issues and ensuring all equipment operates at optimal performance.
Performing preventive maintenance and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
Keeping detailed records of repairs, maintenance, and service reports.
Collaborating with the maintenance team to ensure the availability and efficiency of equipment.
Maintaining a high standard of work and adhering to health and safety regulations.Requirements: Qualification and SkillMinimum of 5 years post-trade experience working on yellow fleet machinery within the mining industry.
Trade Tested Diesel Mechanic (essential).
Hands-on experience with Bell, Volvo, Terex, CAT, and Hitachi equipment.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Based in the Emalahleni area or willing to relocate.
