Job Title: Diesel MechanicLocation: Pretoria North, South Africa
Salary: R30,000 R40,000 per month
Job Type: Full-Time:A well-established company in Pretoria North is seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and servicing on diesel engines, trucks, and heavy-duty equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out necessary repairs efficiently.
• Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure all repairs and services comply with safety and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
• Test vehicle performance before and after repairs.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations.

• Trade Test Qualification as a Diesel Mechanic.
• At least 5 years of experience working with diesel engines, trucks, and heavy machinery.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot faults.
• Valid drivers license (Code 14 will be an advantage).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Experience working with brands such as Scania, Volvo, MAN, Mercedes-Benz, or CAT equipment.
• Previous experience in a fleet maintenance environment.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance schedules and breakdown procedures.
