Job Description


Our client based in Cape Town is seeking a skilled and dedicated Qualified Diesel Technician to join their team!Job description:

  • Support the Workshop Foreman and maintain strong internal relationships.
  • Deliver high-quality work and manage tasks efficiently.
  • Accurately record hours, parts, lubricants, and consumables on job cards.
  • Follow company systems, processes, and FAW SA standards.
  • Build good relationships with parts staff and colleagues.
  • Participate in training and continuous learning, sharing knowledge with the team.
  • Maintain professionalism during breakdowns, wearing PPE and ensuring vehicle cleanliness.
  • Drive responsiblytraffic fines are the offenders responsibility.
  • Foster a team-oriented environment, mentoring apprentices and ensuring proper skills transfer.
  • Correctly document warranty claims using the 3 Cs: Complaint, Cause, Correction.
  • Adhere to Health & Safety rules and encourage compliance.
  • Maintain workplace cleanliness, tool care, and company asset integrity.
  • Manage work hours and overtime in line with the Labour Relations Act.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Matric
  • Diesel Trade Test Completed
  • Minimum 2-3 years experiences in similar role
  • Code 14 licence with PDP
  • Technical expertise, understanding and knowledge
