A highly successful and fully integrated family citrus farming operation, from soil to soul, has a long and rich history in the agriculture and citrus industry in South Africa. They are now seeking a Digital Agronomy Manager, specialising in data and system management.KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS INCLUDE:
- Implementing and maintaining system management and PowerBi (Microsoft) reports;
- Pest management: pest and spraying;
- Fertiliser programme management, implementation and record keeping thereof;
- Effective production, irrigation, harvesting and pruning processes;
- HR labour management and productivity within budget and ensure that all practices are SIZA compliant;
- Administration and record keeping of farming activities such as diesel controls;
- Oversee general maintenance and neatness of farm and farming operations;
- DAFF registrations and inspections;
- GlobalG.A.P: Ensure that all practices adhere to GlobalG.A.P specifications.CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in agriculture, or the equivalent combination of education and experience / AVCASA;
- Experience in farm production, including water management and working with probes, more specifically citrus operations;
- Computer literate including Excel, Outlook and MS Teams. FarmTrace (Agricultural ERP) will be advantageous;
- Fluent in both Afrikaans and English, a third language will be advantageous;
- Knowledge relating to compliance and health and safety standards such as SIZA, Global Gap and the management thereof.PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
