Itxe2x80x99s an opportunity to be part of something special.About the roleThe role will be responsible for leading Digital Commerce for South Africa Consumer Healthcare to achieve a competitive to advanced level of value creation for our shoppers, customers and brands.This role will be accountable to achieve profitable digital commerce share growth objectives by developing the digital commerce and omnichannel strategies and capabilities in collaboration with Brand Managers, Commercial Excellence and Sales. Continuous evaluation of digital commerce strategy to optimise channel, customer, consumer offering and deliver superior digital shelf execution in partnership with Digital Lead.Key responsibilities

  • End to end ownership of Digital Commerce portfolio and digital shelf
  • Actively drive the Haleon Digital Commerce objectives both internally and externally
  • Actively seek & exploit new Digital Commerce business opportunities; Test, learn & scale new opportunities in partnership with MEA Digital Mgr
  • Build digital commerce capabilities
  • Own Digital Commerce content delivery across the portfolio of brands & customers
  • Brief Digital Commerce content requirements (imagery, descriptions, additional content, ratings & review) aligned to brand guidelines in cross collaboration with the Area, Customer Marketing and Brand Managers.
  • With Channel Leads, set and deliver against Digital Commerce JBPs with Key Customers
  • Daily management of eCommerce accounts (pure players & online only channels at traditional Key Accounts).
  • Financial Management:
  • Delivery on sales, G2N, customer investment and Gross Margin objectives
  • Active driver of NRM initiatives
  • Deliver on market share targets
  • Strategic Account Planning & Account Development: To recognize and prioritize the key business development opportunities, risks and strategies that will maximize sales and profitability of each of the accounts within the portfolio.
  • Create and execute strategies across accounts, guided by market dynamics, channel segmentation and channel strategy. Oversees alignment to overall Digital Commerce channel, customer plans and executes appropriately.
  • Develop overall conclusions regarding accounts, markets, and competitive business results, using complex data from multiple sources. This requires proficiency in the use and interpretation of syndicated (e.g. AC Nielsen, Clavis) and/or proprietary information and databases. The findings are used to identify opportunities and forecast results.
  • Lead customer negotiation, develop customer negotiation strategies and framework, operating to minimize exposure and maximize return for Digital Commerce pillar in partnership with Sales.
Talent & Capability:
  • Leads the efforts across the LOC to build Digital Commerce Capability in partnership with commercial excellence and MEA / LOC digital lead.
  • Expert leadership of the digital commerce capability in the brand teams, Customer Marketing, Sales,
  • Grow employee and stakeholder engagement in an aligned digital commerce strategy.
  • Actively lead and develop highly capable and empowered team who consider the shopper and customer in all they do and deliver. Set clear goals and objectives and ensure delivery through others.
Managing & Influencing Stakeholders:
  • Work with MEA to share best practice, build strong digital assets for the portfolio and ensure our voice as a customer is understood and implemented in plans.
  • Drive clarity on how data & analytics support digital commerce strategy. Optimize data reporting and analytics to deliver value and drive strong digital commerce programs.
  • Scale best practice and ways of working within MEA and then packaging up the learnings
  • Demonstrates good leadership skills to drive and crystallise objectives. Be people and performance agility driven and comfortable with ambiguity.
Qualifications and skillsEssentialBasic Qualifications:
  • Solid eCommerce & Digital experience, preferably in combination with FMCG sales experience
  • University degree in business administration, economics or related
  • 3+ years of work experience within a FMCG organization
  • Relevant commercial experience
  • An understanding of the online & eCommerce marketplace
  • Understanding of eCommerce channels & principles to win (omni-channel, pure players)
  • Understanding and insight into Digital shelf principles & data analytics.
  • Capable to manage many stakeholders at all levels within and outside the company
Preferred
  • Strong skills in communication
  • Working understanding of marketing, supply chain and financial management to ensure seamless cross functional working.
  • Understanding of sales and forecasting processes,
  • Financial numeracy to be able to build strategically sound, financially robust proposals that exploit opportunities within accounts.
  • Can communicate with impact & across different levels across the organization and are able to influence the organization as an ecommerce ambassador
  • Proven ability to work independently
