Purpose of the JobThe purpose of the role of the Digital Designer is to interpret and implement the creative vision across brands with a specific focus on digital, social media, creative projects, and website maintenance. This role produces the design and production of websites, product graphics, web logos, social media graphics and banners, and static and rich banner ads. The position is responsible for delivering effective, aesthetic, on-brand, and on-strategy creative for websites, web pages, product graphics (including art direction of photography), email promotional creative, email templates, social media graphics, and banner ads. The Digital Designer is responsible for a wide range of projects and executions, with timelines ranging from immediate to the long term, reporting to the Marketing Manager.Job Advert Details

Job ObjectivesProduce the design and production for websites, product graphics, web logos, social media graphics and banners, and static and rich banner ads, while some projects may require directing external resources, the role is expected to be hands-on and partner with external stakeholders.Create storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps to translate user research and design ideas.Develop mock-ups, wireframes, and prototypes for different delivery platforms (website, mobile, etc.) and benchmark design work against best practices.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, IT, and technical leads to deliver end-to-end solutions and best-in-class user experiences.Engage with stakeholders (ie copywriters on social content and strategies, social customer relations manager, and digital manager) to ensure clarity on product or service features and user stories to support the team's better understanding of solution and web - site maintenance requirements to achieve success measures.Execute design using participatory and iterative design techniques, including CMS changes on websites and Mobi sites, observational studies, customer interviews, usability testing, heuristic site evaluations, and competitive site analysis.Work with various internal teams and external developers to ensure products are aligned with usability, accessibility, and web standards. Work with developers to ensure proper implementation within a web environment and ensure consistency and integrity of the creative vision.Create the design and assets for use on the website, brand file, and social media platforms -including static and animation and live-action video and proactively identify and mitigate design issues, problems, risks, or pain points.Identify opportunities for product enhancements and translate wireframes into simple, easy-to-useUser Interfaces and maintain design systems and component libraries.Work collaboratively as part of a marketing team, ensuring holistic problem investigation and integration to design and develop the right solutions.Translate and create marketing requirements into compelling, appropriate campaigns and designs.Manage and produce digital design work, including banner sizing and versioning.Ensure consistency of brand and creativity across digital customer touch points and provide design support to other business lines to create product graphics, logos, identity design, or other similar offline graphics.Translate product positioning, existing research, and offline/online Marketing strategies into effective designs in partnership with the digital teams bringing innovative approaches and performing any other duties as reasonably requested
QualificationsDiploma in digital design, graphic design, graphic communications, or related field - essential
Bachelors degree/ diploma in digital design, graphic design, graphic communications, or related field - Preferred
ExperienceMinimum 2 years of successful professional design experience - essential
Solid understanding of branding - essential
Strong portfolio of design work, showing a solution to business problems through effective design.
Digital and social media experience including web marketing/web design with a strong knowledge of HTML - essential
Sound knowledge of Web design processes - essential
