Job SummaryDigital Designer (UX/UI - Onsite - CPT) IT - Designer
Western Cape - Cape Town*ENVIRONMENT:Our client, a rapidly expanding leader in outdoor equipment, is seeking a talented and innovative Digital Designer with a strong focus on UX (User Experience) and UI (User Interface) design to join their creative team. The ideal candidate will excel in designing intuitive, visually compelling digital experiences across web and mobile platforms, ensuring that users have seamless and engaging interactions.DUTIES:

• Design and develop high-quality UX and UI concepts, wireframes, prototypes, and mock-ups for websites, apps, and other digital platforms.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to translate business objectives into user-centred designs.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to refine and enhance designs.
• Create user personas, customer journey maps, and detailed design specifications.
• Ensure design consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across all digital touchpoints.
• Stay updated with the latest design trends, tools, and best practices in UX/UI and digital design.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure the feasibility of designs and provide support during implementation.
• Optimize existing digital products to improve usability, accessibility, and overall performance.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field.
• Proven experience in digital design, with a strong portfolio showcasing UX and UI projects.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar.
• Strong understanding of UX principles, design systems, and UI patterns.
• Experience with user research methodologies and usability testing.
• Knowledge of responsive design principles and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).
• Familiarity with front-end development concepts (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.

Preferred Experience

• Experience designing for specific industries such as [insert relevant industries, e.g., e-commerce, healthcare, fintech].
• Knowledge of motion design or micro-interactions using tools like After Effects.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
