Our client, one of Africas leading suppliers in their industry, seeks a skilled and results-driven Digital & Marketing Manager to lead and execute marketing strategies with a strong focus on both traditional and digital channels.Job Overview:
You will be responsible for overseeing brand marketing, SEO, customer insights, digital strategy, and creative content, while also collaborating closely with agencies and internal teams to drive growth, engagement, and overall business success.Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-year Bachelors Degree.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in marketing, with a solid understanding of both digital and traditional marketing, including brand strategy, SEO, and campaign execution.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO, SEM, Google Analytics, social media marketing, and digital advertising platforms.
  • Experience managing external agencies, including digital, design, and media, ensuring high-quality deliverables and alignment with business goals.
Competencies:
  • A demonstrated track record of success in driving marketing initiatives that boost brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales.
  • Excellent project management and budgeting skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities while staying within budget.
  • Ability to merge creative thinking with data-driven insights to optimise marketing campaigns and strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to work cross-functionally and engage with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Report to the Managing Director:
  • Conduct market and consumer research to gather insights that inform marketing objectives, strategies, and business goals.
  • Analyse customer behaviour, preferences, and trends to drive effective marketing initiatives.
  • Design and lead the execution of brand marketing objectives, strategies, and plans aimed at achieving business goals. Ensure brand consistency across all marketing touchpoints.
  • Oversee and manage all communication initiatives, including Above the Line (ATL) channels such as TV, radio, print, advertorials, and reference press.
  • Lead public relations, digital content, and social media strategies, collaborating with relevant agencies and consultants for both internal and external communications.
  • Execute digital strategies to drive brand engagement, strengthen customer relationships, and boost brand awareness using social media platforms, emerging technologies, and partnerships with influencers. Ensure a seamless integration of digital tactics across campaigns.
  • Plan, direct, and manage all marketing advertising and promotions investments (A&P budget). Work with suppliers and negotiate effectively to optimise these funds and achieve the best outcomes for marketing campaigns.
  • Partner with the Operations and Buying teams to oversee category management and trade marketing initiatives for Key Accounts. Ensure alignment of marketing efforts with product categories and sales goals.
  • Support and oversee cross-functional teams related to new product development, management training, staff conferences, internal PR (company newsletters), store development, in-store POS, pre-retailing, and product packaging. Ensure seamless coordination across departments to meet overall business objectives.
  • Work closely with key internal stakeholders, including operations, merchandise, and other divisions, to ensure all marketing initiatives align with broader business strategies and drive synergy across the organisation
