We have an outstanding, fully remote opportunity for a Mid-Senior Digital Media Salesperson at an award-winning, established Content agency based in the UK. While fully remote, the successful Managing Editor will need to be based in South Africa.Selling on behalf of a leading professional surveying membership organisation, the successful candidate will be tasked with selling digital display advertising and sponsored content into an online magazine.   • Prospect for new business by cold calling potential customers
  • Monitor competitor media advertising activity and actively canvass
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with all assigned customers ensuring you understand all aspects of their marketing and advertising strategies
  • Speedily and effectively respond to and follow up all incoming sales enquiries
  • Create and deliver effective sales proposals
  • Challenge and overcome objections
  • Listen to advertiser and/or sponsor requirements and present appropriate solutions
  • Sell within agreed advertising rate structures
  • Achieve measurements contained in team and external strategies
  • Grow revenue from the assigned customer base, taking a proactive approach to developing relationships
  • Develop industry knowledge to effectively understand and engage with businesses within our sector
  • Meet agreed schedule deadlines
  • Maintain up to date and accurate customer records within Salesforce including activities, pipeline and forecasting.
Sales Administration
  • Meet agreed sales and copy deadlines
  • Report daily and weekly sales activity to your manager
  • Report market and customer information to your manager as requested
  • Prepare for and attend sales team meetings and share best practice
  • Alert your manager of any changes in any aspect (strategic, personnel, financial) likely to affect (positively or negatively) budgets, strategies or schedules.
RequirementsThe successful candidate must have/be:
  • A minimum 18 months telephone media sales experience
  • A minimum 18 months event and awards sponsorship sales experience
  • Good spoken English
  • Attention to detail
  • Deadline Oriented.
