Digital Print Operator - ParowFull job descriptionCTP Printers, a dynamic leader in the printing sector is looking to fill the position of a Digital Print Operator. The position will report to the Senior Production Manager and will be based in Parow, Cape Town.RESPONSIBILITIES:xc2xb7 Operate digital printing machines to produce quality colour and pantone matched productsxc2xb7 Manage machine speed, monitor toner, colour, finish and adjust to maintain qualityxc2xb7 Maintain safety, quality, maintenance and good manufacturing practices.xc2xb7 Read and understand a job ticket to ensure the correct product is produced according to specifications.xc2xb7 Manage workflow effectively to ensure deadlines are metxc2xb7 Perform preventative maintenance.xc2xb7 Prepare, set up, change over and restart machines with new jobs when needed.xc2xb7 Visually inspect product throughout the run for quality checks, registration, ink coverage, and numbering sequence.xc2xb7 Inspect finished product for quality and accuracy.xc2xb7 Perform basic administrative tasksxc2xb7 Follow work instructions accuratelyxc2xb7 Design and layout adjustments for digital workxc2xb7 Collaborate with Pre-Press to ensure design accuracy and integrityxc2xb7 Meet tight deadlines effectivelyxc2xb7 Perform quality control checks during production runs and complete quality checks on final filesxc2xb7 Adhere to health and safety regulationsxc2xb7 Attend all training programmes identified for the position and department is compulsoryxc2xb7 Ad-hoc duties assignedREQUIREMENTS:xc2xb7 Grade 12 (Matric) certificate is advantageousxc2xb7 Computer literatexc2xb7 2 or more years of DTP experience in print manufacturing/advertising or designxc2xb7 Strong understanding of print production processesxc2xb7 Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)xc2xb7 Excellent attention to detail and organizational skillsxc2xb7 Basic design skills and understanding of design principlesxc2xb7 Good technical and problem-solving skillsxc2xb7 Good verbal and written communication skills (in English is required)xc2xb7 Reliable, punctual and trustworthyxc2xb7 Safety- consciousTypePermanent (with 3 months probation)Standard hoursWill be required to work shifts (after hours work may be required occasionally)Closing date:Wednesday 23 October 2024Wage:A market related wage is offered based on experience and skills setInterested applicants are required to reply to the advert with thier CV attached.We are committed to Employment Equity.
