Role Purpose

To enable the strategic digital transformation of MMH by spearheading a comprehensive and innovative digital evolution by identifying key initiatives, advising, shaping and leveraging existing and upcoming technologies to deliver competitive edge solutions and experiences that manage service delivery and governance.
Requirements

  • Post graduate degree in Business, Digital Transformation, Information Technology, Computer Science, Digital Strategy or related field of study.
  • Masters in business or related field will be advantageous
  • Munimum 3-5 years experience working for a reputable business consultancy and/or in a corporate strategy function
  • Proven track record of strategic input and leadership on successful digital transformation projects.
  • Exposure to agile methodology, technology architecture, integrating systems and providing technology services to multiple business partners
  • Experience with build and commercialisation of digital propositions.
  • A deep understanding of Digital, including a deep understanding of industry trends and new innovations in Digital.
  • Strong business acumen along with an understanding of business customers, products, services, organizational value-chain etc. as they relate to Financial Services.
  • Experience in building/developing digital solutions and digital strategies (advantageous)
  • Experience with new digital business models (advantageuos)
  • Previous experience in a multi-product, financial services environment (advantageous)
Duties & Responsibilities

Strategy alignment and reporting
  • Be a trusted strategic adviser to group and BU executives, in setting the strategic direction with our stakeholders to realise their digital transformation objectives with supporting business cases.
  • Provide digital and strategic direction to the group and the team to guide strategic group and BU choices across multiple strategic dimensions, including market positioning, product strategy, pricing strategy, target market, sales and distribution strategy, digital strategy, marketing and branding, wellness strategy and growth strategy
  • Influence, align and coordinate group wide digital initiatives limiting duplication and in line with the digital transformation agenda of the business units.
  • Support roadmap creation that ensures benefits are realised at planned milestones.
  • Track digital maturity at a group-wide level by designing assessment instruments as required, interprets results and makes recommendations to executives
  • Ensure the definition of performance metrics for digital and information technology that will enable the organisation to objectively measure the success or failure of its various strategies including the digital strategy and investment in digital transformation.
Solutions design and advisory consulting
  • Design, continuously innovate, adopt and entrench digital frameworks, approaches and processes to maximise the realisation of new digital products and services to add revenue streams
  • Support the delivery of organisation-wide change initiatives that result from digital strategies by helping stakeholders understand short and long-term change implications of digital and technology shifts across policy, people, process, and platform dimensions
Data, documentation, and record management
  • Implement governance and compliance controls to enable efficient and safe digital processes that allow for management of documents and records through the information cycle and data preservation requirements
  • Apply relevant data governance and compliance best practices in creation of frameworks to protect security and compliance
Process evaluation, simplification and automation
  • Identify key consumer behaviour, industry, product market, technology and Insuretech trends with the aim to identify the impact of such trends on short- and longer-term strategic choices, opportunities, threats and internal vulnerabilities requiring a response from the business to remain competitive
  • Interpret digital and competitor strategies, identify key strategic choices of competitors, and anticipate the future strategic direction of competitors with the aim to identify counter strategies and tactics to remain competitive and/or overtake competitors
Change management and uptake of solutions and practices
  • Exercise a broad influence on the strategic direction of the group through involvement in digital design and support the setting of inspirational, long term stretch targets and define higher order enduring purposes
  • Design and lead corporate innovation initiatives as required, including innovation sprints and/or Hackathons
  • Initiate and lead ad-hoc strategic initiatives with a broad impact across BUs as required, including but not limited to digital and/or agile transformation initiatives
