Improve the world and start as a Digital Workplace Technician (Senior) at Vopak.What will you do as a Digital Workplace Technician (Senior)?To provide first line support to all users, by resolving IT related requests as well as meeting customer satisfaction and continuous service delivery demands.The successful incumbent will acts as first and second level support in the domain of Digital to Operate standard solutions for the workplaces (hardware, workplace software installation - printers, communication - Telephony, video conference and mobile devices). The Digital Workplace Technician (Senior) will participate and form part of the global IT projects team.What do we offer you?

What do we expect from you as a Digital Workplace Technician (Senior)?
  • Grade 12
  • Industry recognized professional IT Certification
  • Preferred CCNA certification
  • A+, N+ or equivalent
  • Knowledge of VMware and SAN (Storage attached network )
  • Experience in IT Service Desk domain
  • Experienced in ITIL processes
  • Professional training and certification in the field of Workplace services
  • 5-7 years experience in IT support
  • Automation knowledge & experience will be an advantage
What does your day look like?
  • Support the IT staff to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment which provides services over the phone, through email, in person - for walk-in customers and Service-now portal which is an incident reporting tool.
  • To diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems -Windows and across a range of software applications.
  • To troubleshoot and diagnose network problems.
  • Monitor backup and replication services.
  • To assist all our users with any logged IT related incident when called upon
  • To take ownership of issues by carrying out problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes with the aim of restoring service to the customer as soon as possible; escalating incidents to application consultants.
  • To accurately record, update and document requests using the Service-Now incident reporting tool.

  • To provide first and second line support in the Digital workplace solutions domain and end-user support by:
Acceptance testingFacilitate and execute the acceptance test of new releases, solutions in the domain of digital workplace solutions.Cyber SecurityImplement and monitor cyber security controls. Ensure suppliers and contractors comply with Vopak cyber security standards and industry best practices. Engage and comply with the zero trust guidelines.Asset management and registration as per Vopak configuration management standards.Problem management
Provide support or act as a problem manager for the digital workplace solutions on site.Service Coordination/product management
Identify opportunities for service improvement. Acts as internal coordinator for the execution of service improvement plans.Advise & Knowledge Management
Advise/contribute to improve or design new services. Identify, Improve and share knowledge items in relation to end user supportLifecycle ManagementAdvise and execute life cycle management of the IT solution on site to guarantee:
