This pivotal role requires an individual with a profound understanding of international tax laws, ensuring compliance and strategic alignment with global standards. Additionally, the role requires an individual who has a proven track record in managing high service quality in the service of clients across key sectors of the economy. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership abilities, capable of inspiring and guiding a diverse team towards achieving organizational goals. Additionally, they must have a proven track record in managing but also turning-around large-scale business operations, showcasing their ability to handle complex financial transactions whilst carefully considering tax and customs implications, develop and implement strategic initiatives, and collaborate effectively with international tax authorities and stakeholders including clients. This role is crucial in driving the efficiency and effectiveness of the division, making a significant impact on SARS's mission and objectives.Job PurposeTo formulate the Large Business & International Taxpayers' business model and its alignment with the overall SARS business model and strategy; contributing to strategy formulation and enabling the SARS mandate. This includes providing the overall leadership to translate SARS Vision and Strategic Intent into effective and efficient delivery of a Voluntary Compliance Programme within the defined segment that covers large and international businesses to ensure the collection of all tax revenues due, and appropriate enforcement when non-compliance is detected. Fundamental to the role is the ability to collaborate with clients to achieve voluntary compliance through superior and differentiated service.Education and ExperienceMinimum Qualification & Experience RequiredA relevant Master's or Honours degree is preferable with 8-12 years' experience least 5 years at Senior Management level#ALTERNATIVEMinimum Functional Requirements
