  • Strategically plan and manage stock of production and logistics processes.
  • Develop new strategies to streamline processes, reduce stock losses and increase the overall stock accuracy of the organisation.
  • Direct, optimise and coordinate the full order cycle.
  • Perform metrics reporting and data analysis tasks to identify issues and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Keep track of quality, quantity, and stock levels following ABC Analysis Inventory Management.
  • Arrange Warehouse, and catalog goods as per Strategic business modal stock.
  • Managing the productivity and efficiency of the entire Stock management team.
  • Managing warehouse utilisageingation and warehouse stock maintenance including mixed pallets and consolidations.
  • Managing Stock aging and ageing reports.
  • Responsible for managing the entire distribution and receiving process.
  • Responsible for implementing all safety protocols and procedures for the dispatch warehouse and transport department.
  • Ensure the flow of work is upheld as the first line in procedures.
  • Maintain facility and maintenance of inventory/assets in an organized fashion.
  • Manage and lead the day-to-day stock management operations of the production and logistics department.
  • Responsible for managing and verifying materials in the Logistics Warehouse weekly and monthly. (Cycle counts)
  • Responsible for managing and maintaining records of equipment, materials and products.
Dispatch Stock Management:
  • Managing the picking and packing process, ensuring picking and packing is done according to FIFO principles.
  • Managing the distribution of all goods, to ensure product arrives at the customer at the right time and place.
  • Monitor and ensure all picked products are correct and follow the correct quantities according to the picking slip per the companyxe2x80x99s SOP.
  • Ensure Inspections are done of the entire Logistics warehouse department ensuring all broken pallets are removed.
  • Ensure all packing is done as per the requirements on the packing instructions and delivery note onto a pallet or into a container.
  • Ensure all housekeeping duties are maintained at all times.
  • Ensure all employees minimize the risk of damages whilst loading.
  • Ensure all employees understand the protocol of reporting substandard products to their Senior and/or Quality Assurance Manager immediately
  • Ensure the risk of damages is minimized.
  • Ensure and monitor the unpacking of fallen pallets at required heights.
  • Ensure all stock that is damaged is repacked.
Blast Freezer Stock Management:
  • Manage and plan the stock management processes of the Blast freezing process daily.
  • Monitor and ensure that all stock moved from the conveyor belt to pallets or trolleys are completed by-product in accordance with the company SOP.
  • Monitor and ensure all carcasses are loaded and off-loaded as per order demands.
  • Ensure all employees pull the required stock from all designated blast freezers using a pallet jack.
  • Ensure all products are unpacked timeously onto pallets.
  • Ensure all fresh stock is kept by FIFO on the assembly floor.
  • Ensure all Housekeeping duties are maintained at all times.
  • Monitor the movement of chilled products aligned with stock ageing.
  • Ensure all half and quarter pallet jacks are consolidated.
  • Ensure all blast freezers are loaded according to the FIFO system.
  • Minimize the risk of damages.
  • Eliminate any risk in the reworks area and ensure the reworks are managed daily with all Production Supervisors.
  • Manage and implement a preventative maintenance and cleaning schedule
Inventory Management:
  • Administrate the monthly stock take and annual financial stock take.
  • Control all stock movement from production departments.
  • Control all stock movements within the Logistics Warehouse environment.
  • Enforcing the necessary protocols if standards deviate.
  • Investigate, reduce and eliminate cost center variances ensuring stock accuracy at all times of the internal operations.
  • Control daily stock vs MM stock list.
  • Effectively managing all holding costs including damaged and spoiled goods.
Receiving Stock Management:
  • Managing the receiving process, and implementation of new methods and standards as per Food safety standards.
  • Verification of all documents throughout the receiving process.
  • Ensuring quantities and quality have been received as per the Food Safety Management System ensuring full traceability is available on all products received.
  • Ensure that the Order number is clearly stated on the delivery note or invoice.
  • Regular reporting to the General Manager on variances and discrepancies noted upon receiving.
Vendor Relationship:
  • Maintain a good relationship with internal and external suppliers.
  • Maintain a good relationship with all internal operational departments.
  • Support to the Sales department which includes continuous communication and feedback.
  • Driving Internal Service delivery to all inter-departments.
Safety at the Company:
  • Contribute to a culture of safety.
  • Adhere to all safety rules in the company and area of work.
  • Managing all the Risks of the Logistics department.
Training and development:
  • Manage and develop a stock management team.
  • Provide assistance and training to colleagues.
  • Ensure all staff are trained as per department IDPxe2x80x99s and SOPxe2x80x99s
  • PDP plan implementation and managing training and development based on the PDP plan.
  • Succession Planning.
Qualifications and education requirements
  • Grade 12 (Matric) or relevant NQF Level 4 Qualifications.
  • 3-5 Yearsxe2x80x99 experience as a Logistics Manager/Warehouse Manager will be an advantage.
  • SC /Diploma in Logistics/Supply chain/Inventory or related field advantageous.
  • Exposure in the meat industry will be an advantage.
