Guided by our purpose and our values, we enable both high performance and purposeful action as we aim to xe2x80x9cre-imagine mining to improve people's lives"", delivering the metals and minerals that make modern life possible."PurposeThe purpose is to oversee the technical support for mining operations to facilitate hauling and scheduled maintenance activities.Your duties will include:

  • Maintain hardware and software of various dispatch and LAN systems and equipment to ensure full functionality.
  • Conduct root cause analyses on defective systems and components, identify suitable solutions and implement them to ensure effective problem-solving.
  • Control spare inventory to ensure the availability of spares, which enables system functionality at all times.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures to ensure the longevity and optimal performance of the systems and equipment.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to schedule maintenance and repair work, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Monitor system performance and generate reports to identify potential issues and areas for improvement.
  • Train team members on adequately using and maintaining systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
  • Identify barriers to effective production performance and contribute to designing efficient production processes by recommending solutions to ensure optimal and economical resource utilisation.
  • Monitor, measure and analyse the quantity and quality of production levels to identify areas of improvement.
  • Conduct Critical Control Monitoring on-shift as well as high-risk work verification.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that production processes are aligned with company goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for production processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety requirements
QualificationsQualifications
  • Grade 12 / N3 certificate
  • National Diploma in Mining / Mining Engineering (NQF6)
  • B.Eng. / B.Sc. in Mining Engineering is advantageous.
  • The Open Cast Blasting Certificate (DMRE approved) is advantageous.
  • MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert)
  • Virtualization Technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Automation and Scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python)
  • Database Management (SQL, NoSQL) Certifications
  • FLM/MMP Certificate
  • A2/A3 ORMP Training Certificate
  • Legal Liability Training Certificate
  • SA Driver's License
