Vacancy, Distribution Operator, Johannesburg,Permanent Reports to: Projects & DistributionManagerJob Purpose:The Distribution Operatorxe2x80x99s main line functions are: logistic that entail the efficient filling of trailers and deliveries to customer sites. Inspections to ensure all equipment is 100% operational. Preventative maintenance that will entail daily inspections, servicing, and breakdown repairs. Power generationand compression monitoring. meter readings and gas stock take.Main ResponsibilitiesMother Station Customer Sites & DeliveriesAll personnel must ensure that all equipment is 100% operational at all times and that all equipment failures are rectified in a timely manner.Perform inspections on license disks of trailers, trucks, and vehicles and report any findings.Delivery and collection of tube trailers while ensuring delivery efficiency.Monitor that skid are filled efficiently and in a timely manner to the maximum pressure.Complete checklist for all outgoing and incoming trailers/skid and submitted for processing. Ensure all finding are reported and addressed.Ensure the delivery note for all deliveries and collections are complete and is submitted for processing before the end of the shift.Performer inspections daily on compressors and generators and report any findings to the Projects and Distribution Manager.Monitor that energy consumption operating procedures are adhere to when runninggenerators and compressors.Monitoring via the remote monitoring system the gas consumption of customer and ensure on time deliveries.Monitor the condition of equipment via the remote monitoring and report any alarm conditions.Assist with daily and monthly meter readings and gas stock take.Perform inspections on all equipment at Mother station (including pipelines) regularly to prevent any gas leaks-Report immediately any unsafe condition or where equipment needs to be repaired.Perform daily housekeeping inspections at Mother station (including the pool vehicle).Perform repairs on all equipment as directed by the Projects and Distribution Manager.Report to the Projects and Distribution Manager on shortages of necessary spare parts that are kept in stock to deal with routine maintenance and minor breakdowns for all operating companyxe2x80x99s requirements.Provide feedback to the Projects and Distribution Manager on the status and maintenance relating to the Mother stationHealth & Safety AspectComply with Company regulation, policies and procedures and understands that he/she is responsible for their own safety especially when working with compressed natural gas.Comply with safety regulations as set out on the health and safety act.Ensure that the correct PPE, equipment, and clothing is always worn as specified by SHEQ.Ensure all customers and contractors are safe when on site.Report any accidents before the end of your shift that include but is not limited to staffmembers, company property, visitors, or customers on Company premises to the Projects and Distribution Manager.Report any Health & Safety hazards.Adopt a zero-tolerance approach when it comes to safetyService & MaintenanceAssist with routine repairs and maintenance at all sites under Projects and Distribution Managerxe2x80x99s direction.Assist with the maintenance and repairs in the companies / on customer sites and Langlaagte. This will include the day-to-day activities that are required in the maintenance of the equipment utilized.Assist with all installations of all equipment and ensure that installations adhere to suppliersxe2x80x99 standards as well as prescribed South African and International standards and Acts.Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to Projects and Distribution Manager.Ensure that all job card and inspections are submitted to the Projects and DistributionManager before the end of your shiftGeneralThe employee will work mainly at the Langlaagte Mother station, but can be required to perform work on customer sites if required.The employee will be required to perform any other reasonable request made by Management.The employee will mainly work at Langlaagte mother station where he/she will focus on deliveries, Mother station operation and maintenance.Knowledge Qualifications and Experience:Matric with Mathematics or Science.National diploma in Industrial/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering.Minimum 1 year experience.Must have experience on pneumatics, hydraulics, instrumentation, mechanical and electrical systems.Hands on technical experience working with pneumatics, hydraulic, instrumentation and electrical systems.Natural gas experience will be an advantageClosing Date 06 June 2024
