PURPOSE OF THE JOBCoordinate and manage the picking of correct stock from the DC to maximise productivity of labour, maximise the application of first in and first out (FIFO) stock management and optimise vehicle capacity utilisation. To plan and control the DCxe2x80x99s distribution line.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESInvestigate and resolve operational problems, stock discrepancies, re-counts, over supplies and shortagesSupervises the achievement of the Distribution departmentsxe2x80x99 daily productivity and quality targetsPlan lines and manning according to picks and lead timesEnsure that picking errors are kept to a minimumEnsure that correct stock is picked against the allocated order and all details are correct as per the systemLiaise with other departments to resolve any queries and distributions releasedMonitor department KPIs, calculate variances from plans and provide feedback on departmental performanceSupervise and lead staff in alignment with Sikhula KunYe cultureAllocate tasks and targets to team and provide them with instructions/guidanceEnsure compliance with health and safety requirementsControl the correct use of WMS equipmentEnsure good housekeeping standards are maintainedEnsure all stock for completed lines are scanned out of the DC and that paperwork and transactions on the system are recorded correctlyBeing able to work in any other department when requiredAd hoc tasks as requiredAt least 3 -5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience within the Distribution Centre environmentComputer Literacy: MS Office or G SuitePrevious experience working with a warehouse management system (WMS) advantageousCompetencies required: Planning, Organising and Control; Detail orientation; Ability to build and maintain relationships; Communication skills; a Passionate, service orientated team player; Stress tolerance and Confidence and decisiveness.Proficient in EnglishClosing date: 25 July 2024
