This role supports the Professional Services employees, and supports the HR Managers (HRMs) who are responsible to the Executive of each of the departments within the Professional Services Division, which include: Risk Management, Data Science, Actuarial, Finance, Digital, Legal, Technology and Special Projects.
The Key Purpose of the role being, to lead, through the HRMs, the strategic HR function for central support teams, ensuring alignment with the organizational goals and objectives.The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Providing key input into the development and implementation of key people strategies for The Client
Leading the HR Management team that directly supports approximately 700 employees in the Professional services division, ensuring full implementation of the agreed people strategy and end to end delivery of the HR employee life cycle;
Providing HR functional leadership and support to the HR management teams in Client Division
Ensuring alignment of the HR function to the Group HR standards and processes;
Chairing the HRM Forum, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing and professional development among HR leaders.Key Outputs may include but are not limited to:
Contributing to and implementing key people strategies;
Ensuring that the Client HR function optimally supports the business objectives & constantly strives to enhance current HR practices, in fostering a high-performing, engaged and capable workforce;
Functional ownership and support of HR teams across the Division;
Ownership of the HR operational processes and standards;
Conducting extensive research and data analytics to leverage data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions, drive HR best practice innovation and adoption, and enhance organizational performance.Work Experience
Minimum 8 - 10 years HR management experience, with demonstrated experience in -
HR strategy development and implementation
Leading a full-service HR team / function
Transformational HR and Change management
Strong HR Specialist knowledge - understands the structure, strategy and objectives of the HR function Legislation - keeps abreast with current events especially those impacting the business as a whole
Noteworthy experience in a Group HR Centre of Excellence / expertise (COE) role such as Leadership & Learning, Talent Management, Organizational Design & Development, etc. (Advantageous)
Experience in JSE Listed Companies is an advantageTechnical Skills or Knowledge and Personal Attributes
