Job Summary Candidate Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of previous tour consulting experience required
  • Should have a passion for delivering service excellence
  • Must have a good understanding of South Africa, Southern, and East Africa
  • Must have sales process and methodology skills
  • Should have an understanding of travel industry channels and destinations
  • Must have strong problem-solving skills and experiential creativity
  • Should have relevant business understanding to create strategies and make commercial decisions
  • Must have excellent computer skills, including ESS, MS Office and WETU
  • Previous experience with TourPlan is highly advantageous
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Should have strong time management, teamwork, and conflict resolution abilities
Key Outputs:
  • Creative planning and designing of itineraries
  • Managing the reservations process for bookings in a manner which ensures guest budget is achieved
  • Handling of bookings from quote to finalising, invoicing and travel documents
  • Consistent and clear communication with agents, sales teams, preferred supplier partners and colleagues
  • Emergency duty will be on a rotational basis
  • Working hours early and late shift on a weekly rotational basis
  • Calm and professional manner of servicing agents and guests
  • Proactive selling of our products and services ensuring the best possible safari for the guests
