• Read & understand drawings of the Project, costing, and timeline requirements
• Assist Costing and Design Engineer with Bill of Materials and designs

Draughting Duties

• Help design products and construction plans with engineering and manufacturing techniques
• Work from rough sketches and required specifications to create the desired design outcome
• Work closely with the Engineers and Project Managers to achieve correct and timely designs
• Draught and prepare layout drawings of a given structure including the desired components and devices
• Manage electronic information effectively and clearly to allow all project personnel to access and understand the relevance of the information
• Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient, effective functioning of the work unit and successful completion of projects as will be required from time to time
• Design products with engineering and manufacturing techniques
• Produce draft designs and diagrams in accordance with the given specifications
• Calculate dimensions and allowances with accurate precision
• Revise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancements
• Prepare multiple versions of designs for engineers and/or architects to review
• Assist and coordinate with designers and engineers
• Accommodate Health and Safety procedures as part of installation and construction drawings

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12
• Draughting Diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• 2 Years of industry-specific experience within the HVAC / biocontainment environment or similar
• Have a basic grasp of engineering drawing and principles
• Be able visually communicate concepts, draw well and be very detailed orientated
• Some knowledge of Engineering principles
• Strong problem-solving and a desire to come up with practical solutions/alternatives
• Computer Literate
• Revit is essential
• AutoCAD essential
• Inventor / SolidWorks (optional)
• At least know one of the following rendering programs: Lumion, Twin Motion, Cinema 4D, Blender, or similar program

• General report-writing skills
• Valid driverxe2x80x99s license and passport
