Draughtsman

Job Description
The draughtsman will play a crucial role in the design and development process, as their drawings serve as a visual reference for construction, manufacturing, and fabrication.
Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) software, drawing instruments, and measuring devices to accurately represent objects, structures, or systems. You would work closely with engineers, architects, and other professionals to transform concepts, ideas, or rough sketches into precise and standardized drawings.
Reports to: Engineering Manager
Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
Creating technical drawings based on specifications, sketches, or rough designs provided by engineers or architects.
Incorporating necessary dimensions, measurements, and annotations into drawings.
Developing detailed plans and diagrams for structures, buildings, or mechanical components.
Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
Making revisions or modifications to drawings based on feedback from engineers or architects.
Collaborating with other team members to resolve design or technical issues.
Creating 3D models or digital representations of objects or structures using CAD software.
Generating bill of materials (BOM) or parts lists for manufacturing or construction purposes.
Reviewing and interpreting technical drawings from suppliers or contractors.
Requirements:
Proficient in SolidWorks, Rhino CAD and AutoCAD (compulsory)
Strong attention to detail
Mechanically minded & have knowledge of pipe routings and boat systems
Marine industry experience would be advantageous, but not essential
Physically fit to climb into vessels
Knowledge to of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc)
Can work with minimal supervision and is proactive
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: R25000,00 - R35000,00 per month
Work Location: In person
