Are you an experienced mechanical engineering Draughtsman looking for a new challenge in the Western Cape? An FMCG manufacturer has an exciting position for a Draughtsman to do 3D and 2D modelling and draughting of new mechanical, structural, civil, and piping models in a fast-paced food production environment!

As part of this role, you will take charge of various responsibilities, including drawing up general arrangement plant layouts for tender purposes, conducting site measurements, and producing Bills of Materials (BOM) for material sourcing. Your role will also involve overseeing manufacturing processes, collaborating closely with workshop teams, and providing on-site construction supervision for various projects. Additionally, you will assist the Project Engineer in project engineering activities and ensure a safe working environment at all times. Your duties will encompass preparing detailed drawing packs, detailing steel and piping layouts, reviewing quotations, estimating costs for new designs, and managing CAD contractors effectively.

We're currently seeking a qualified Draughtsman who holds a BTech or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or has a Mechanical Draughting Certificate, complemented by experience in mechanical design and P&ID. If you boast a minimum of 5 years of practical expertise with CAD software (with proficiency in Inventor and AutoCAD considered a plus), then you could be the perfect fit!
