Provide a General Survey Draughting (including GIS aspects), and land information service of a
higher complexity level.
Key Responsibility AreasDraughtsperson - 36004666Prepare working plans, diagrams and general plans referring to survey notes and using
survey software.
Create detail plans for the preparation of base plans for land development using Computer
Aided Design tools.
Produce and examine hand plans, scheme plans and sale plans.
Maintain historical and new survey records, capturing, editing and updating information.
Circulate newly approved cadastral records.
Update and maintain Geographic Information datasets.
Prepare Councils Street maps using Geographic Application Software tools
Creation of GIS specialised projects to maintain various record data sets, such as completion
notices, general hand plans and LEFTE applications.Senior Draughtsperson - 36004666BProvide technical guidance and training to junior staff.
Undertake quality control checks on completed work against survey regulations and
standards.
Prepare work plans, diagrams and general plans in digital format.
Produce and examine hand plans, scheme plans and sale plans in digital format.
Maintain historical and new survey records.
Handle street address confirmations, queries and changes for properties within the
eThekwini Municipality region.
Produce lamination of wall maps, retirement and long service certificates.
Create GIS specialised projects to maintain various record data sets.

Essential RequirementsDraughtsperson - 36004666Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Geomatics or GIS or any other related and equivalent qualification.
Valid motor vehicle driving license
2 Years relevant experience.
