Qualifications:Grade 12/ equivalentCompleted draughting certificate / diplomaExperience and Requirements:A minimum of 3 to 5 years experience as a draughtsperson in a steel service centreComputer literate (MS office Word/ Excel) AutoCAD & Sigmanest is essentialTechnically mindedAble to work under pressure and meet deadlinesReside on the East RandOwn transportA stable work record and have contactable referencesAble to work every second SaturdayDuties and Responsibilities:Drawing parts for cutting on laser, plasma, and profile machinesCreating chamfer, drilling, bending, and rolling drawings for the workshopQuoting clients accurately according to drawings and assisting them with cutting selectionsDeveloping flat drawings for cones and bent partsNesting parts for machines on SigmanestMaintaining cost effective estimations and accurately handling internal salesChecking estimates for Representatives and rendering advice on costings, nestings etc. where requiredLiaising with customers on specific projects and advising when necessaryDrawing and developing parts as required by customersChanging nestings to different machines when necessaryPreparing material take-off from general arrangement drawings, customer DXF files and electronic media filesPreparing developments, drawings, and nestingsLiaising with customers, dealing with queries and complaintsExpediting orders to completion in conjunction with Workshop ManagementChecking methods for better quality, material certificate issues and traceability issues
