:The successful candidate will be reporting to the Supervisor Civil Maintenance, and will be responsible but not limited to the following:
Conduct daily inspections on all department vehicles and other equipment to ensure the road worthiness, serviceability and operational readiness including fuelling as per scheduled intervals.
Store all maintenance equipment safely and ensure all department vehicles, other maintenance machinery and workstations are cleaned on a regular basis.
Drive the tractor and all department vehicles for operations
Operate runway and all sweeping machines.
Perform daily cleaning maintenance operations by driving the refuse removal vehicles.
Assist in other maintenance activities as requested and instructed by surface maintenance Department Head.
Report any accidents and incidents involving all department vehicles.
Report any non-compliance on all department vehicles.
Update logbooks as and when required.
Liaise and engage with internal stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient operations.
Adhere to relevant legislation, regulations, standards, codes and company policies and procedures.
Technical Skills and ExperienceThe following skills and experience or the equivalent of such will be required:
Matric (Grade 12) is essential
. 1-3 years' experience in maintenance or operations within the facilities maintenance is essential.
Valid Code C1 driver's license is essential.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
Knowledge of airport environment.
