Murray & Roberts Cementation invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Driver EB to be placed in Dishaba Mine, near Thabazimbi, Limpopo. The successful candidate will report to the Shift Supervisor Raise Drilling. The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates. Applications only open to South African Citizens / Permanent Residents.Job descriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

• Safely transport passengers and goods to and from various locations.
• Safely transport dangerous goods, including explosives to and from various locations (site specific)
• Delivery and collection of goods and documents
• Complete log books and checklists accurately
• Adhere to correct load distribution
• Report vehicle abuse, defects timeously
• Vehicles are clean and maintained to standard
• Work in line with safety regulations and M&RC's policies, standards and procedures
• Responsible for the safety of employees within area of responsibility
• Be prepared to sometimes work outside of normal working hours
• Effective self-management in alignment with M&RC's values

Minimum requirementsSuitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

• Grade12 or equivalent
• Valid EB driver's licence
• Valid PDP (public drivers permit)
• Valid licence to transport dangerous goods (site specific))
• Police clearance certificate (site specific)
• Good English communication skills (written and verbal)

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

• At least 2 years relevant working experience as an EB driver
• Relevant experience as a driver in delivery and collection of goods and documents
• Understanding of correct load distribution on vehicle
• Experience handling and transporting explosives and goods (site specific)
• Knowledge and understanding of handling and transporting dangerous goods, including explosives (site specific)
