We have an exciting opportunity for a Driver Manager to join our team in KZN.

Overview:



The Driver Manager is responsible for overseeing a team of delivery drivers, ensuring efficient, timely, and safe deliveries of food orders to customers. This position requires strong leadership, communication skills, and a deep understanding of logistics and customer service. The manager will coordinate daily delivery operations, handle driver performance and issues, and ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:



Team Leadership and Supervision:

Manage and supervise a team of food delivery drivers, including recruitment, training, and scheduling. Provide ongoing support and guidance to drivers to ensure high performance, professionalism, and customer satisfaction. Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Scheduling and Route Optimization:

Create and manage delivery schedules, ensuring that all shifts are covered and deliveries are completed on time. Optimize delivery routes to minimize delays, fuel costs, and delivery times while maintaining high service levels.

Operational Oversight:

Monitor daily delivery operations to ensure efficiency and smooth workflows. Handle any operational issues that arise, including delays, traffic issues, or customer complaints. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in the execution of delivery plans.

Safety and Compliance:

Ensure that all drivers comply with traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies. Conduct regular safety checks on delivery vehicles and address maintenance needs. Implement and enforce health and safety standards, including safe driving practices and food handling regulations.

Customer Service and Communication:

Act as the point of contact for drivers and customers when issues or concerns arise. Handle customer complaints or concerns related to delivery issues in a professional and timely manner. Collaborate with the customer service team to ensure customer satisfaction.

Performance and Reporting:

Track and analyze delivery metrics such as delivery times, customer feedback, and driver performance. Prepare regular reports on delivery efficiency, driver performance, and operational issues for senior management. Suggest and implement improvements to delivery processes based on data and feedback.

Training and Development:

Provide ongoing training and development to drivers, including customer service best practices, navigation tools, and safety standards. Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance culture among the delivery team.
