To perform tasks/activities associated with the transportation of material/equipment and personnel,
and the collection and distribution of mail and other documentation to/from work sites and
attending to the recording/processing and/or updating of information.
Key Responsibility AreasReceives work details and/or communicates with the departmental personnel to establish
details of tasks.
Inspects safety devices, controls, lubricant levels etc on vehicles and reports defects to the
Superintendent.
Observes and/or participates in the loading/offloading and issuing sequences of material and
equipment and corrects deviations from safety procedures.
Transports staff, equipment and materials to/from specific locations.
Collects/delivers mail correspondences and documentation to/from the Regional Offices and
depots.
Completes internal transactional documentation and related forms.

Essential RequirementsGrade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.
