About the roleFinding better ways to provide the materials the world needs.We are looking for a Driver: Day Crew to operate and transport within the plant according to given operating procedures and standards in order to maintain and ensure smooth running of the operations.Reporting to the Supervisor and working in a collaborative community, within the Mobile Operations team, you will be:
Provide shuttle driving services to designated sections within a specific area or route.
Provide transportation for employees or clients between office locations, meetings, and other business-related destinations.
Check items to be transported and, where appropriate, completes and delivers documentation.
Perform routine vehicle inspections, completes checklist and reports defects to the Supervisor.
Clean equipment and provide assistance as required.
Carry out level 1 maintenance at the discretion of the Supervisor.
Assist with level 2 and 3 maintenance from time to time as required by the Supervisor.
Maintain and improve safety, health and environmental standards and practices and perform fair and reasonable tasks related to the job and working environment, at the discretion of the Supervisor.
What you'll bring
Grade 12/NQF level 4 /N3 in an Engineering discipline (with Core Mathematics & Physical Science) - Attach document.
Two years' experience as a Licensed Heavy Mobile Equipment Operator would be beneficial.
Driver's license: EC (Code 14). - Attach a valid document
Crane driving experience would be advantageous.
A Professional Driving Permit (PDP). - Attach a valid document
Successful completion of designated assessments.
