Job Description
Delivery Driver will pick up and drop off items while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules and must work as part of the delivery team in order to ensure that the items are complete, packed correctly, and safely delivered to the correct client in a polite and prompt manner.Main responsibilities of Focus Area 1:
Driver Responsibility
- Vehicle Communication (reports on damages, knocks, services required etc., ensuring vehicles are left in a clean state)
- Checking and counting of Stock on delivery and collection, client signing
- Offloading and loading of vehicles
- Handing in of delivery and collection notes
- Setting up on site and leading team where event coordinator is not on site
- Maintain condition of vehicle
- Performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspection
- Report on progress of route
- Matric/Grade 12
- 1-3 years Driving experience based on the type of vehicle that will be required to drive
- Physical fitness
- Valid driver's license, no criminal record that would disqualify the driver from obtaining a PDP.
- Own Transport/live close by
- Must be able to speak, read and write English
- Strong time management and customer service skills.
- Ability to walk, drive, and lift and carry heavy items for extended periods.
- Customer Orientation
