A company based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town is seeking a dedicated and experienced Driver Trainer to join their team. The selected candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing driver training to ensure all drivers meet legal, contract, and company-specific training requirements.Requirements:

• Class EC license and PrDP.
• Over 5 years of possession of a valid code 14 license.
• Grade 12; additional qualifications in training are advantageous.
• 2-3 years experience in driver training and assessment.
• 2-3 years experience with driver and vehicle safety.
• Experience in data capturing, report writing, accident investigation, employee relations, and disciplinary measures.
• Adequate road transport experience.
• Ability to draft or update processes and procedures.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Confidence to stop any unsafe activity.
• Own reliable transport.
• Certified Facilitator/Assessor (advantageous).
• Knowledge and experience in the fuel and energy industry (beneficial).

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Develop, implement, and maintain driver training plans.
• Update, report, and maintain training matrices and files.
• Conduct on-route and task observations at various sites.
• Ensure drivers comply with legal, contract, and company-specific requirements.
• Assess, screen, and conduct practical evaluations of new drivers.
• Provide ongoing training for current drivers.
• Implement driver and vehicle safety procedures.
• Coordinate workshops on driver safety.
• Conduct accident investigations and quality assurance.
• Assess and evaluate high-risk drivers.
• Review and evaluate the effectiveness of training in accordance with TETA, contract, and company requirements.
