Job & Company Description:This giant in aviation based in the Eastrand is in search of Duty Manager to join their unified high performing team. The suitable candidate to fill this role will be required to manage the day to day cargo operations by allocating resources to the movement of freight within the network and maintain an on-time performance to ensure a safe and efficient operations.This exhilarating role requires an independent thinker and worker with an ability to lead a team and will hit the ground running.Key responsibilities include:

• Maintain a helpful, positive and friendly manner when dealing with customers by providing an optimal customer experience in order to drive up customer satisfaction.
• Conduct daily security briefings on each shift and submit all discussion point with a list of attendees to senior management.
• Identify areas of non-compliance and enforce corrective measures to comply with the occupational health and safety regulations and BidAir cargo policies and procedures
• Investigate non-conformance incidents and implement preventative measures based on recommendations from the Quality department and/or Senior Management.
• Ensure inspections are carried out daily to determine the effectiveness of the BidAir Cargo Equipment used in the operation to ensure that all used equipment does not pose any risk of injury to the staff or clients.
• Compile monthly rosters to ensure that all employees are rostered according to the department of labours regulated hours and basic employment conditions.
• Submit monthly rosters to senior management and ensure all applications for leave and shift changes are communicated
• Compile a daily shift report and forward it to the seniors so that they are informed about day to day operational performance
• Check that Flight Files are completed to ensure that they contain all regulated documentation required for audits
• Monitor that cargo from Customers is processed correctly and accurately and that it meets all Security and Acceptance criteria by constantly monitoring the staff.

Qualification:

• Diploma in Supply Chain Management or equivalent (NQF Level 5)
• Regulated Training including, Dangerous Goods Category 6, AVSEC level 3, Airside Level 3, Live Animals Regulations Training, etc.

*Experience:

• Minimum 3 years working experience in the airline or Freight Industry
• Experience with shift work during operational operating hours, maybe required to overtime
• Willingness to travel nationally when required
• Drivers Licence and own transport
