La Rochelle is a world-renowned site boasting the greatest concentration of hippo and crocodiles in South Africa:As a Resort Duty Manager with a Maintenance Background, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our resort facilities and maintaining the highest standards of guest satisfaction. Your primary duties will include:

• Ensuring each department that you oversee is prepared and staffed for each shift.
• Prepare staff duty Rosters.
• Conducting regular inspections of resort facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed.
• Handling guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Supervising and training staff to deliver exceptional service.
• Overlooking day to day operation of the Resort
• Handling guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally
• Stock control.
• Assisting in budget planning and cost control measures
• Collaborating with external contractors for larger maintenance projects
• Attend to staff and union matters

• Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a resort setting.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of basic maintenance techniques and experience with tools and equipment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance issues.
• Hospitality or management qualifications are a plus.
• Reside within the St Lucia or nearby areas.
