Job SummaryWho are we: A business-to-business publishing house focusing on trade publications.Who we are looking for: A talented and detail-oriented Editor with a strong background in the news industry.What will you do:

• Review, edit and proofread content for grammar, style and accuracy
• Ensure all content adheres to the company's editorial guidelines and tone
• Collaborate with writers and content creators to improve the clarity and impact of the material
• Manage the production schedule and ensure timely delivery of all content
• Fact-check articles, ensuring that all information is accurate and properly sourced
• Work closely with the design and marketing teams to produce engaging and visually appealing content
• Ensure consistency in style, tone and quality across all platforms (web, print, social media, etc.)
• Stay updated on trends in the industry to ensure content relevance and competitiveness
• Provide feedback and coaching to junior writers or content contributors
• Maintain and update editorial style guides as needed

What will you need:

• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
• Previous experience in a news environment is essential
• Proven experience as an Editor, with a strong portfolio of edited works
• Exceptional command of the English language, including grammar and punctuation
• Strong attention to detail and an eye for improving content structure and readability
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and SEO best practices is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise effectively
• Knowledge of digital media platforms, including social media, blogs and newsletters
• Experience working with design software or familiarity with layout and formatting is an advantage
