Seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Lecturer and Programme Coordinator for Acting for Camera at our institution in Braamfontein. This role involves both teaching and program coordination, contributing to the academic and professional development of our students.
Qualifications and Experience:
Relevant qualifications within Theater, Film Studies, Performing Arts, or Drama
Completion or involvement in NQF level 9 studies.
A minimum of five years of industry experience and/or three years of lecturing experience.
Specialized knowledge in the discipline of curriculum development and learning support.
Active involvement in professional, national, and international bodies related to your field of expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Development: Create engaging and relevant course materials that align with industry standards and academic guidelines.
Teaching and Learning: Deliver high-quality lectures and practical sessions, ensuring adherence to assessment handbook guidelines, quality control council standards, and institutional teaching and learning guides.
Assessment: Set, moderate, and evaluate student assessments to measure their progress and achievement.
Research: Contribute to research activities in your field of expertise.
Program Coordination: Manage and oversee the Acting for Camera program, ensuring its effective delivery and development.
Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues and be adaptable in a team environment.
Leadership: Exhibit strong leadership qualities and a passion for education and student development.
Time Management: Meet institutional and departmental deadlines efficiently.
Organization and Administration: Maintain organized administrative processes.
Communication: Demonstrate effective communication skills.
Remote Assistance: Be capable of providing support remotely when required.
Technical Skills: Possess the necessary technical skills relevant to the assigned course modules.
Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development, staying updated on quality council requirements, institutional standards, and policies.
Involvement: Participate in professional, national, and international bodies/boards related to your discipline expertise.
