As the Head of Faculty, you will be entrusted with comprehensive oversight of the portfolio of programs within the Commerce faculty. This role entails taking responsibility for program development, curriculum assessments, module material updates, and the compilation of prescribed textbook lists. It is your duty to ensure the academic integrity and regulatory compliance of all programs and assessments offered at ICG's various sites. Your role will also involve ensuring that all programs, program factsheets, curriculum structures, and assessments conform to regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
A minimum of an Honours or Master's degree in the relevant field within the Commerce faculty.
A track record of 3-5 years in the education sector, with at least 3 years of experience in a program management role.
At least 5 years of work experience in a TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) environment.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in distance learning.
Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
Advantageous qualifications include familiarity with formal assessment and moderation practices, design and development, and program structuring.
Main Job Responsibilities:
Assume full responsibility for the management of programs within the Commerce faculty, encompassing program development, curriculum reviews, and alignment of assessments.
Oversee the development and alignment of assessments, along with the continuous updates of module materials and prescribed textbooks.
Maintain academic integrity and ensure regulatory compliance across all programs and assessments offered by ICG.
Align program factsheets, curriculum structures, and assessments with relevant regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
Key Performance Areas:
Program Management, Development, and Review.
Work-Integrated Learning/Workplace (WIL) based learning.
Development and implementation of policies, procedures, and accreditation standards.
Enhancing the teaching and learning experience.
Developing the capacity of academic staff.
Contributing to institutional planning, resource allocation, and governance.
Conducting stakeholder surveys to assess the quality of educational provision.
Benchmarking educational standards.
