Qualifications:
B Compt Accounting OR National Diploma in Accounting
2-3 years of experience as a Bookkeeper
Responsibilities:
Manage property-related financial tasks including leases and tenant interactions
Ensure accurate lease registers are maintained with up-to-date agreements
Prepare and issue legal documents such as AOD’s and LOD’s to tenants
Draft lease agreements and update revenue schedules accordingly
Debtors Management:
Generate tenant invoices and reconcile debtors accounts
Produce weekly and monthly age analysis reports for management review
Execute debt collection efforts and develop strategies for overdue accounts
Liaise with property management and tenants for effective communication
Creditors Management:
Process invoices and manage creditor payments
Maintain creditor reconciliations and produce monthly analyses
Provide management with relevant creditor data as needed
Additional Responsibilities:
Support management and property management with various requests
Handle bank account transactions and reconciliations on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
Manage VAT-related tasks including maintenance of the VAT register and filing returns with SARS
Ensure intercompany loan accounts are reconciled monthly across the group
Assist with audits and the preparation of financial statements
General Duties:
Maintain various registers including VAT, property, and fixed asset registers
Organize and file all documentation accurately
Conduct processing on Pastel accounting software up to Trial Balance
Analyze general ledgers and reconcile accounts
Handle adhoc payments and other miscellaneous financial tasks as assigned
