We are seeking a dedicated Senior Lecturer and Programme Coordinator for our Criminal Justice programmes. This pivotal role encompasses a spectrum of responsibilities, from lecturing and curriculum development to research and programme coordination. As a Senior Lecturer and Programme Coordinator, you will play a vital role in crafting an exceptional education experience in the field of Criminal Justice. This role requires strategic design, continuous enhancement of programmes, and alignment with contemporary standards, industry practices, and accreditation requirements.
Qualification:
Master's Degree in Criminal Justice or Criminology.
3-5 years' lecturing experience in higher education, specifically in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or related fields.
Distance Learning Facilitation:
Utilize online tools, including online classrooms and assistive technology, for distance learning.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Research Responsibilities:
Conduct research for program development and regular review of criminal justice programs to ensure alignment with current legal and industry standards.
Curriculum and Content Development:
Design, assess, and refine study materials, assignments, and exams to meet the highest educational standards.
Student Engagement and Support:
Facilitate contact sessions, create interactive learning environments, and provide guidance to students.
Quality Control and Compliance:
Ensure modules and programs comply with legal accreditation and industry standards.
Programme Coordination:
Coordinate and manage the Diploma and Higher Certificate in Criminal Justice programmes.
Professional Development:
Engage in continuous research and professional development to maintain expertise.
Collaboration and Leadership:
Collaborate with faculty, committees, and the wider Criminal Justice community to foster knowledge sharing and innovation.
Administrative Oversight:
Manage administrative aspects of the Criminal Justice programmes, ensuring smooth operation and alignment with institutional goals.
Study Material Review: Continuous review and improvement of study materials to ensure relevancy and compliance with criminal justice education standards
Assessment Development: Design, set, and mark assignments and examination papers, ensuring alignment with program learning outcomes and legal competencies
Student Interaction: Conduct and facilitate contact sessions, creating an engaging and interactive learning environment for students.
Student Support Coordination: Oversee the faculty's student support management system, including handling student queries and providing guidance
Quality Control:
Ensure the quality control of modules and programs allocated, maintaining alignment with legal accreditation and industry standards.
Committee Participation:
Engage in various faculty and institutional committees as required, contributing legal expertise and insights.
Professional Development:
Pursue ongoing research and professional development in the field of law to maintain and enhance subject-matter expertise
