Job Description
An exciting opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer / Technologist - Building Service has become available within the engineering Consulting industry. The position is based in Plattekloof.REQUIREMENTS:
- B Eng, BSc Eng, BTech
- Registered or eligible to register with ECSA as a Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years post-grad experience
- Proficient in both English and Afrikaans
- Previous Consulting Engineering experience
- Electrical Building Services Design Engineer/Technologist,
- Compile/Prepare electrical design documentation for various building services projects (MV/LV reticulation, lighting & small power requirements, wire ways for other services).
- Compile/Prepare electronic design documentation for various building services projects (CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, fire detection, PA/voice evacuation systems),
- Manage and contract supervision of Building Services projects,
- Report writing and compiling technical specifications and bills of quantities.
- Prepare contract documentation.
- Liaise with clients, staff, and other professionals from inception to the handover phase.
