Job Summary Our client in Dubai is seeking a Electrical Designer who is prepared to relocate and become part of their dynamic team.Applicants from Northern Cape, Mpumalanga, Kwa-Zulu Natal (Durban) and Limpopo are encouraged to apply.Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Relevant trade test (Highly advantageous).
• Professional registration with a relevant engineering body (such as the Engineering Council of South Africa, ECSA) may be required or preferred.
• 2-5 years experience in electrical design.
• Experience in designing electrical systems for specific sectors, such as residential, commercial, or industrial projects.
• Must have a valid passport.

Responsibilities:

• Create detailed designs for electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems for various projects.
• Conduct load calculations to determine the necessary capacity and ensure the system can handle electrical demands.
• Produce electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings using design software such as AutoCAD or Revit.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant South African electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to integrate electrical systems with other building systems and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Write detailed technical specifications for electrical equipment and materials required for projects.
• Assist in project management activities, including budgeting, scheduling, and liaising with contractors and suppliers.
• Conduct site visits to assess existing electrical systems, gather information for design, and ensure compliance during installation.
• Provide support during the installation and commissioning of electrical systems, addressing any issues that arise.
• Modify designs as needed based on changes in project scope, site conditions, or client requirements.
