Electrical Engineer

Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create and develop detailed electrical system designs tailored to project specifications and requirements.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring successful execution.
- Conduct thorough analyses, testing, troubleshooting and validation of electrical systems.
- Ensure all designs adhere to relevant safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design specifications, reports, and technical drawings.
- Stay informed of emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (BEng, BSc, or BTech).
- Registered as a Candidate Engineer with ECSA; Professional Engineer (PrEng) registration is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations (e.g., SANS, IEC)
- Solid understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, and renewable energy technologies.
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- A proactive and adaptable mindset, able to work independently and as part of a team.
