Qualification

• BEng / BSc / BTech in Electrical Engineering
• Must be a Candidate Engineer with ECSA Pr Eng/Tech registration
• SAQCC Registered for Design will be advantageous

Requirements

• Experience within the Engineering Consulting environment
• Providing a consulting engineering service and the design of MV & LV, power and lighting, single line diagrams, reticulation, generators, UPS, fire detection and evacuation as well as Data, CCTV, access control, intruder and building management.
• Knolwedge of of various building contracts applicable tot he building services industry i.e. JBCC, Fidic, NEC, Procsa, etc.
• Knowledge of SANS10142-1&2, SANS10139 and SANS10114 among others
• Good knowledge of MV and LV reticulation design, standby power systems including changeovers, synchronising, and calculating ratings thereof, renewable energy installations
• Experience with Autodesk BIM (Revit, Navisworks, Glue, Field, etc.) and CAD software
• Experience with electrical software packages such as Relux, Dialux, CBi, Ecodial and/or Amtech

Duties

• Preparing accurate and concise designs, design calculations, budgets, tender specification creation, performing project financial control and diligent construction monitoring and project management (electrical) throughout all stages of a project life cycle.
• Collaborating and working with multi-disciplinary team of engineers on a project while taking an active part in the design process and co-ordination.
• Completing all types of projects from inception to close out with limited input from management and/or other Senior Engineers.
• Being able to focus on client care and professional team management including on-time delivery.
• Marketing, including attendance at business related networking and client functions. Ensuring repeat work from clients and developing a client base.
• Setting up client/consultant fee/contract agreements, calculating professional fees and the effective management of professional fees on all projects.
• Managing internal office project finances regarding hourly forecasting, WIP and invoicing.
• Role model standards for SHEQ performance and behaviour consistent with the companyxe2x80x99s health, safety, environmental and quality vision, and policies by influencing those around you.
• Contributing to the identification of SHEQ risks and driving processes to achieve Zero Harm.
