Hire Resolve's client, a reputable engineering consultancy specializing in comprehensive project design and execution across various industrial sectors, is currently seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join their team in Sandton. This position plays a critical role in supporting engineering and discipline project design activities across all project phasesfrom concept to commissioning and close-outon major EPCM and EPC projects.ResponsibilitiesEngineeringDevelop innovative, detailed electrical designs that align with engineering best practices.Ensure all designs meet client specifications, legislative requirements, and industry standards.Coordinate electrical design interfaces with other engineering disciplines.Review, verify, and approve certified design information from third parties.Implement design improvements through value engineering, lessons learnt, and latest technologies.Sign off on all electrical engineering discipline work.Support internal and external drafting teams.Contribute discipline-specific input to feasibility studies and technical proposals.Provide ongoing engineering and commissioning support on-site.Manage redline drawing updates and documentation handovers.Operational ManagementEnsure compliance with all relevant project procedures and standards.Assist in commissioning activities and ensure all reports are professional and accurate.Engage proactively with the broader project team for issue resolution.Adhere to formal change management procedures and meet project timelines.Client RelationsMaintain professional, respectful communication with clients.Keep clients informed of all relevant technical project updates.Actively contribute to making LSL the engineering service provider of choice.Collaborate closely with client engineers to meet project requirements.Personal CapabilitiesDemonstrates initiative and a proactive, problem-solving approach.Committed to project success and continuous learning.Brings a positive, can-do attitude and values innovation.Takes ownership of personal development and professional growth.RequirementsBSc or BEng in Electrical Engineering EssentialECSA Registration EssentialPr Tech (Professional Engineering Technologist) Essential510 years of relevant project-based experience EssentialProficiency with SANS Standards EssentialPrevious mining industry experience AdvantageousExperience with project commissioning and close-out AdvantageousKnowledge of international electrical standards (e.g., BIS, DIN, JS) AdvantageousAbility to review and interpret Control & Instrumentation Designs AdvantageousIdeal for an electrical engineer working toward Pr Eng with up to 5 years of experience.Benefits
